A remote home gateway controller, home gateway, terminal and terminal control method. Terminal control data, used for controlling a terminal, is generated by a remote home gateway controller, then the terminal control data is sent to a home gateway, and the terminal is controlled by the home gateway in accordance with the terminal control data. The home gateway does not require logic operation or other processing and is run by a remote home gateway controller, and thus, when requiring an upgrade for compatibility with a plurality of terminals or for adapting to different application scenarios, it is merely necessary to carry out a single upgrade of the remote home gateway controller; in addition, the remote home gateway controller has stronger hardware performance than current home gateways and tends to have "unlimited" expansion capability, and is thus able to better complete more complex service logic processing and better fulfill requirements such as function expansion, is more compatible with each type of terminal and better adapts to different application scenarios. |
