<p>The present invention relates to a printer capable of recognizing a transparent printing material in which a front end and the height of the transparent printing material can be easily recognized, so that the surface of the transparent printing material can be printed. The printer capable of recognizing the transparent printing material according to the present invention includes: a printing material placing plate (10) on which a printing material is placed; a printing member (20) positioned above the printing material placing plate (10) to spray ink onto the placed printing material for a printing work; a printing material checking member (30) including a sender (31), which radiates light, and a receiver (32), which receives the light radiated from the sender, the sender (31) and the receiver (32) being inclined in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction with respect to the printing material placing place (10), and the sender (31) radiating the light to the printing material at an inclination angle; and a control member (40) to move the printing material placing plate (10) toward the printing member or to move the printing member (20) toward the printing material placing plate if the printing material is placed on the printing material placing plate (10), to stop the movement of the printing material placing plate (10) or the printing member (20) after the determination is made regarding that the front end of the printing material is positioned if the light radiated from the sender is not received in the receiver (32), and to determine the movement length of the printing material placing plate (10) based on the height of the printing material if the light radiated from the sender is received in the receiver (32) as the printing material placing plate (10) is moved vertically.</p> |
