PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device capable of coping with a case where a power factor is preferentially improved or a case where flicker is preferentially suppressed.SOLUTION: An image heating device can select between: a first control pattern in which a first half period in half periods of an AC current flowing through a first heating element or a first half period of a same phase as that of above first half period in half periods of an AC current flowing through a second heating element that allows current to flow or allows no current to flow over the first half period, overlaps a second half period in half periods of the AC current flowing through the second heating element or a second half period in half periods of the AC current flowing through the first heating element that allows current to flow within a part of the second half period; and a second control pattern in which the first half periods of a same phase overlap each other and the second half periods of a same phase overlap each other. |
