1. System for monitoring impedance and electric potential of cells in vitro, comprising
a) a cell-substrate including at least one electrode for contacting said cells and at least one reference electrode, b) a device capable of impedance measurement between the electrodes (impedance analyzer), c) a device for measuring the electric potential difference between the electrodes (potential analyzer) and d) a switch for selectively connecting the electrodes either to the impedance analyzer or to the potential analyzer, characterized in that the switch has an on-resistance lower than 50 Ohm, an off-isolation of lower than −60 dB, and a crosstalk isolation lower than −60 dB.
