The present invention is to disclose a control method for rolling a thick plate. The control method for rolling a thick plate of the present invention comprises the following steps in which a control part calculates a roll gap and rolling load according to a target thickness after applying a stretching amount of a rolling mill; the control part receives an input of a measured thickness of a measured plate after setting up the roll gap and conducting rolling according to the rolling load; the control part calculates a correction value with regard to the stretching amount of the rolling mill based on thickness errors between the measured thickness and the target thickness for each rolling load; and correcting the stretching amount according to the correction value.
