The present invention relates to the laminate of water-absorbing nonwoven fabrics and water-repellent nonwoven fabrics comprising: nonwoven fabrics composed of water-absorbing fibers and water-repellent nonwoven fabrics laminated on either or both surfaces of the fabrics, wherein the water-repellent nonwoven fabrics have fluorine coatings formed on fibers on the surface of the nonwoven fabrics by treating the nonwoven fabrics, which are composed of non-water-absorbing fibers, with plasma under fluorine-containing gas. The laminate of water-absorbing nonwoven fabrics and water-repellent nonwoven fabrics according to the present invention can reduce the contraction of water-absorbing fibers by the repetition of water absorption and drying while maintaining the intrinsic water-absorbing property of the water absorbing fibers. Also, the laminate of water-absorbing nonwoven fabrics and water-repellent nonwoven fabrics according to the present invention has a water contact angle on the surfaces of the nonwoven fabrics increased by the water-repellent property of the surfaces of the nonwoven fabrics owing to the surfaces coated with fluorine. Therefore, the water absorbing speed of the water-absorbing fabrics can be slowed down while maintaining the water-absorbing property of the water-absorbing fibers. The slowdown of the water-absorbing speed enables water formed in the shape of waterdrops to be shaken away when plenty of water is in contact of the surface of the laminate of water-absorbing nonwoven fabrics and water-repellent nonwoven fabrics.
