PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing another jam from occurring when a sheet remaining in a transport path is saved in a case of a jam occurring to a printer.SOLUTION: A printer automatically discharges a sheet which can be discharged among sheets remaining in a transport path when one of sheets being transported gets jammed to one of a plurality of sheet saving parts. At this time, the printer detects a stacking state of sheets discharged to the respective sheet saving parts. The printer once detecting one of the sheet saving parts entering a full state performs control not to further discharge a sheet to the sheet saving part by changing the discharging destination of the sheet transported to the sheet saving part. |
