PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decelerate a vehicle without being rear-ended by the other vehicle if driver's awakening degree lowers.SOLUTION: If it is detected that a driver's awakening degree lowers, braking operations stored according to traveling speeds are read to brake a vehicle. As the braking operations, the operation of braking the vehicle more gently is stored as the traveling speed becomes lower. By doing so, if the traveling speed is high, the vehicle is braked hard to make it possible to promptly decelerate the vehicle and the vehicle is gently braked as the traveling speed becomes lower. Therefore, the vehicle can be decelerated without being rear-ended by the other vehicle. |
