THERMALLY STABILIZED MOLDING COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding composition having good heat aging characteristics capable of providing an automobile component used for high temperature automobile applications.SOLUTION: There is provided a non-fiber reinforced thermoplastic molding composition comprising 0.01 to 10 pts.wt. of a metal powder based on 100 pts,wt. of the composition as a heat stabilizer, and the metal powder has a weight average particle diameter (dm) of 1 mm at most and the metal in the metal powder is elemental iron. The composition comprises a semicrystalline or amorphous thermoplastic polyamide and a second thermoplastic polymer having a melting temperature or a glass transition temperature which is lower by at least 20°C and optionally contains a non-fibrous inorganic filler.
