PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transgene-augmented glycosylation transgenic avians available as bioreactors for therapeutic protein production.SOLUTION: A transgenic avian has a transgene including a glycosyltransferase coding sequence. Oviduct tissue of the transgenic avian produces a protein having N-linked oligosaccharide including at least one saccharide, where the oligosaccharide does not include the saccharide in the absence of the transgene. |
