1. A method for modifying a surface morphology of a medical device comprising:
a) providing a medical device comprising a bulk part and a surface region, wherein said surface region comprises a biocompatible polymeric composition comprising a biocompatible polymer; b) contacting at least a portion of the biocompatible polymeric composition in said surface region with a solvent of the biocompatible polymer to form a first surface region film on at least a first part of said surface region; c) contacting at least a part of said first surface region film with a non-solvent of said biocompatible polymer, thereby forming a first solidified surface region film on at least a part of said surface region; and d) subjecting the first solidified surface region film to a hydrolytic treatment. |
