FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating for pistons, in particular a coating for the guiding part of the piston of an internal combustion engine. A composition for the piston coating contains: a) thermally hardened phenol resin, b) at least, one solid lubricating material, selected from the group, consisting of graphite, MoS, WS, BN and PTFE and c) carbon fibre.
