PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that can prevent occurrence of afterimages.SOLUTION: An image display device changes the color of an input image to a complementary color or black according to a predetermined timing to create a different color image, switches a normal image that is the input image into the different color image, and outputs the different color image as a display image to be displayed through laser irradiation to retinas.
