PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for solar battery that can inspect a solar battery which is installed newly outdoors or already installed without using any actinometer.SOLUTION: An inspection device 8 for solar battery includes: an acquisition part 9 which acquires measured characteristic data on a string 1 to be inspected; a short-circuit current value determination part 12 which finds a short-circuit current value of a solar battery module M constituting the string 1 to be measured from the data acquired by the acquisition part 9; a solar radiation intensity determination part 12 which finds a solar radiation intensity to a light reception surface of the solar cell module M based upon the short-circuit current characteristics of the solar battery module M and the short-circuit current value found by the short-circuit value determination part 12; and an evaluation part 12 which evaluates the string 1 to be inspected based upon the data acquired by the acquisition part 9, the solar radiation intensity found by the solar radiation intensity determination part 12, and the nominal maximum output of the solar cell module M.
