PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device comprising an automatic parking function having energy-saving properties.SOLUTION: When automatic parked-state determination means determines that a vehicle is automatically parked, weak field control for a motor is not performed. When the automatic parked-state determination means determines that the vehicle is not automatically parked, the weak field control for the motor is performed. Consequently, when the automatic parked-state determination means determines that the vehicle is automatically parked, an unhanded state is brought about, and emergency steering becomes unnecessary. Thus, since the weak field control for the motor is not performed, generation of heat from the motor can be prevented. |
