<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing shells, suitable for removing shells especially of peas.SOLUTION: A device for removing shells includes: transportation means for transporting bean-containing shells; cutting means for adding cut to the bean-containing shells transported by the transportation means; and two rollers arranged on a subsequent stage of the cutting means. The two rollers are arranged by making peripheral surfaces thereof face each other at a clearance shorter than a thickness of a bean shell between the peripheral surfaces, and rotate in the opposite directions to each other so as to draw the bean-containing shells transported from the cutting means into the clearance, and only the shells are drawn into the clearance and sent out to a rear side in the transportation direction of the clearance while beans are squeezed out from the bean-containing shells on the front side in the transportation direction of the clearance.</p> |
