In order to detect abnormal logical addresses and physical addresses, a storage device according to present invention comprises: a plurality of drives which have storage media constituting a logical volume presented to a host device; a front-end interface which receives, from the host device, user data and an I/O request including a logical address identifying a logical storage area of the logical volume; a processor which controls the conversion from the logical address to a physical address identifying a physical storage area of the storage media; and a back-end interface which controls the writing/reading of the user data to/from a plurality of drives on the basis of the physical address. In the drives, data consisting of the user data and a first verification code which has been added to the user data is stored in the physical storage area of the storage media specified by the physical address, said verification code being obtained on the basis of the physical address and the logical address corresponding to the physical address. |
