[Class 52 (i).] A receptacle 1 mounted on legs 2 is surrounded by a casing 5 with a hinged lid 6. The lid is connected to the receptacle by links 9, 11 so that as the lid is lifted the casing is forced downwardly to give access to the receptacle to which it is connected by a parallel motion linkwork 7, 8. The lid is not hinged directly to the casing but slides on right-angled extensions 9<a> of the links 9, which provide the hinged connection 10.
