The present application discloses an electric field measurement device for measuring the electric field of an object under measurement. The electric field measurement device is provided with an optical waveguide for transmitting transmission light, an electrode unit formed so as to periodically change the optical characteristics of the optical waveguide, an antenna unit for creating a first state in which the electric field is coupled to the optical waveguide and a second state in which the electric field is isolated from the optical waveguide, a detection unit for detecting the optical intensity of irradiated light irradiated from the optical waveguide, and an application unit for applying a voltage to the electrode unit so as to cause the periodic change. The application unit includes a setting unit for setting a reference voltage according to the optical intensity in the second state and an output unit for outputting a voltage corresponding to the difference between the induced voltage generated in the electrode unit in the first state and the reference voltage. |
