The present invention discloses a power conversion device and a control method for a semiconductor switch in the power conversion device. In particular, the power conversion device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a DC link stage including two capacitors which are serially connected; a half-bridge circuit which includes two leg switch cells to be serially connected and which is connected in parallel with the DC link stage; two additional switches cells which are connected in series between the interconnection point of the capacitor and the interconnection point of the leg switch cells; and a resonant circuit which is connected between the interconnection point of the leg switch cells and a load terminal.
