Provided is a composition for sealing films for solar cells, which is obtained by mixing, as a resin component, an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (m-LLDPE) with another polymer, said ethylene/α-olefin copolymer being polymerized using a metallocene catalyst. This composition for sealing films for solar cells has processing characteristics equivalent to those of a composition that uses an m-LLDPE by itself, and a sealing film for solar cells obtained from this composition for sealing films for solar cells has transparency equivalent to that of a sealing film obtained using an m-LLDPE by itself. A composition for sealing films for solar cells, which contains an m-LLDPE and a low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and which is characterized in that: the weight average molecular weight (Mw(m-LLDPE)) of the m-LLDPE is 200,000 or less; the weight average molecular weight (Mw(LDPE)) of the LDPE is 250,000 or less; and the mass ratio of the m-LLDPE to LDPE (m-LLDPE:LDPE) is within the range from 80:20 to 30:70. A sealing film for solar cells, which is obtained using this composition for sealing films for solar cells. |
