Disclosed is a tapping connector (1) for mounting on and tapping a pipe. The connector (1) comprises a saddle part including a through- going branch opening (4) and a spatula opening (5) through which spatula means (6) can be inserted into the saddle part to block flow through the branch opening (4). The saddle part is connected to a clamp part (7), wherein the saddle part and the clamp part (7) are formed to encircle the pipe. The connector (1) also comprises an upper gasket (8) arranged to encircle a through-going upper insertion opening (9) in an upper insertion part (10) and an lower gasket (11) arranged to encircle a through-going lower insertion opening (12) in a lower insertion part (13), wherein the upper insertion part (10) comprising the upper gasket (8) and the lower insertion part (13) comprising the lower gasket (11) is arranged in axial succession of each other in the through-going branch opening (4) so that the branch opening (4) is substantially aligned with the upper insertion opening (9) and the lower insertion opening (12) and wherein the upper gasket (8) and the lower gasket (11) are substantially aligned with the spatula opening (5) so that the spatula means (6) may be inserted between the upper gasket (8) and the lower gasket (11). |
