PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which is excellent in both light leakage resistance and durability when applied to an optical member such as a polarizing plate, and to provide a method for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet.SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains: 100 pts.mass of a first (meth)acrylate polymer (A) having a weight-average molecular weight of 700,000-2,500,000; 5-40 pts.mass of a second (meth)acrylate polymer (B) having a weight-average molecular weight of 8,000-250,000; and a crosslinking agent (C). The polymer (B) contains as a constituent only a monomer having a functional group (b1) reactive with the crosslinking agent (C) in an amount of 1-50 mass%. The polymer (A) does not contain as a constituent a monomer having a functional group reactive with the crosslinking agent (C) or contains as a constituent a monomer having a functional group (a1) which has lower reactivity with the crosslinking agent (C) than the functional group (b1) of the polymer (B). |
