Provided are: a glass composition which is suitable for a light conversion member containing phosphor particles having low heat resistance; a light conversion member which is produced using the glass composition; and an illumination light source which is produced using the light conversion member. A glass composition which contains, in mol% in terms of oxide contents, 5 to 35% of Bi2O3, 22 to 80% of B2O3, 10 to 48% of ZnO and 0 to 4% of Al2O3 and does not contain SiO2 substantially, wherein the total amount of Bi2O3 and ZnO is 15% or more and less than 70%; a light conversion member which is produced using the glass composition; an illumination light source which is produced using the light conversion member; and a liquid crystal display device which is produced using the illumination light source. |
