The objective of the present invention is to provide a run flat tire (1) that can secure sufficient rim detachment resistance even during run flat travel and while maintaining the durability of a side reinforcing rubber. The run flat tire (1) is provided with: a tread section; a pair of side wall sections contiguous with both sides of the tread section; a bead section (2) contiguous with each side wall section; and a side reinforcing rubber that has a crescent-shaped cross section and is disposed at the side wall section. In a cross-sectional view in the direction of tire width, the diameter (Dh) of the bead heel point (Ih) of the bead section (2) is 1.7-2.8 mm smaller than the rim diameter (Dr) of the rim of application, and in a cross-sectional view in the direction of tire width, a line linking the bead heel point (Ih) and the bead toe point (It) of the bead section (2) is inclined 12.2-14.7° with respect to the direction of tire width. |
