PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapy progress degree monitoring device and method for the therapy progress degree monitoring for informing of therapy depth of extra-cellular photodynamic therapy in real time during the therapy.SOLUTION: A progress degree monitoring device 1 for photodynamic therapy comprises: irradiation means 30 for irradiating a photosensitizer, which is distributed in extracellular fluid and transcellular fluid of a living body and continuously supplied because of vascular permeability, with excitation light having a wavelength capable of exciting the photosensitizer; detection means 30, 20 and 13 for detecting intensity of fluorescence, which is generated in the case where a photosensitizer excited by reaction between excitation light and the photosensitizer is deactivated to a base state, during a detection target period; depth calculation means 14 for calculating an index value obtained by estimating volume or depth of a therapy region in real time by using intensity of fluorescence during the detection target period; and output means 14, 16 and 17 for outputting the index value to the display unit or a storage unit in real time. |
