PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device capable of suppressing infrared light from being reflected by a translucent plate covering a light emitting element or light receiving element to cause wrong detection by the reflected light.SOLUTION: In a touch panel device 100 which includes a display surface 101, an array of light emitting elements 911 emitting infrared light along the display surface 101 and an array of light receiving elements 921 receiving the infrared light, and a strip translucent plate 81 covering the array of the light emitting element 911 or the array of the light receiving elements 921, and detects the position of a light shield body on the display surface 101, the translucent plate 81 is provided with light absorption parts 811, 813 which contain chlorophyll and absorb incident infrared light, so that the light absorption parts 811, 813 absorb infrared light being incident on the translucent plate 81 at a small angle of incidence. |
