PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an object illuminated with mixed-color light look in a desirable manner by maximizing the color rendering performance of an illuminating device having a variable chromaticity of illumination light.SOLUTION: An illuminating apparatus 1 comprises: two or more types of light sources (LED) 2; a controller 3 for setting the color temperature of illumination light of the light sources 2; and a control section 4 that individually controls outputs from the light sources 2 so that illuminating light has a color temperature set by the controller 3. The controller 3 has a volume switch 31 that inputs the color light of mixed color light produced by the LEDs 2a to 2c; and an instructing unit 33 that determines the respective output values of the LEDs 2a to 2c for obtaining CIExy chromaticity coordinates and the chromaticity coordinates thereof corresponding to the input light color and then designates the output values to the control section 4. Then, the instructing unit 33 determines the chromaticity coordinates for the mixed color light from a predetermined range including the input light color so that a predetermined color rendering performance under the mixed color light is maximized. |
