The objective of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection valve with which the flow rate distribution in the fuel spray can be changed. The present invention pertains to a fuel injection valve (10) for an internal combustion engine, wherein the needle lift amount in the fuel injection valve can be changed. Furthermore, this fuel injection valve is equipped with an injection hole (13) having a slit-shaped cross section obtained by bending a rectangular shape at the center in the lengthwise direction of that shape.
