<p>The present invention relates to a burner (2) of a rotary furnace (1) comprising a primary-air injection circuit (3) with a primary air flow rate and a secondary air injection circuit (4) with a secondary air flow rate, said burner (2) has a top part and a bottom part, it is characterized in that the primary air flow rate (3) is greater in the bottom part of the burner (2). The primary air flow rate in the lower half of the burner (2) is therefore greater than the primary air flow rate in the upper half of the burner (2). This asymmetric injection of primary air, with more at the bottom part of the burner (2), causes an increase in the volume of secondary air entrained in the bottom part of the furnace (1), hence providing better supply of air and limiting reducing zones in the bottom part of the furnace (1), greater support for the heavy solid fuel particles (5) by the primary air and then by the secondary air, and a greater cooling flow rate for the bottom part of the burner (2).</p> |
