PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which displays a route from a departure point to a destination point and also extremely easily displays another appropriate route.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 comprises: a radio transmission and reception unit 20 which transmits a departure point and a destination point to a map data server installed in a network, and receives navigation information including a plurality of routes from the departure point to the destination point; a position information acquisition unit 27 which acquires current position and direction; a route selection unit 28 which selects one route from the plurality of routes included in the navigation information on the basis of the navigation information and the current position and direction; a display unit 14a which displays the selected route; and a vibration direction detection unit 15 which detects vibration of the terminal body and its direction. When the display unit 14a displays a route and then the vibration direction detection unit 15 detects vibration of the terminal body and its direction, the route selection unit 28 selects another route corresponding to the vibration direction from the plurality of routes included in the navigation information and displays the other route on the display unit 14a.
