This rechargeable battery fuel cell system comprises: a fuel generating member; a power-generating/electrolysis unit; a gas passage for circulating gas including fuel gas between the fuel generating member and the power generating/electrolysis unit; a recirculating unit that is provided above the gas passage, and that forcibly recirculates gas between the fuel generating member and the power generating/electrolysis unit; and a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the fuel generating member. The rechargeable battery-type fuel cell system is further provided with a recirculation control unit which, when shifting the rechargeable battery-type fuel cell system from an operating state to a completely stopped state, on the basis of the output of the temperature sensor, completely stops the recirculating unit after the temperature of the fuel-generating member is deemed to have dropped to a permissible temperature for complete stop. |
