<p>The present invention provides a frame dropping method for a video image, comprising the following steps: configuring a plurality of frame buffer areas according to the preset number of frame buffer areas; writing sequentially each of input frame images into each of the frame buffer areas, and when the last frame buffer area is written into the frame buffer area, writing the images from the first frame buffer area over again; and reading out the images in the frame buffer areas according to a preset frame dropping rule. Accordingly, the present invention also provides a frame dropping system for a video image. Frame dropping processing on video images by applying the present invention improves blocking phenomenon of a moving image effectively.</p> |
