PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a crane capable of enhancing safety of the crane, by precisely determining the possibility of setting-change operation of a work state in response to an actual work state. SOLUTION: This crane can select respective works of boom work, jib work and boom work with a jib, and includes a boom work setting means 14, a jib work setting means 15, a jibbed boom work setting means 16, an actual work state detecting means A, a cargo suspension-cargo nonsuspension determining means B for determining whether now is in cargo suspension work or cargo nonsuspension work in the actual work state, and a control signal output means 35 which outputs a control signal for regulating the setting change of the work state by respective work setting means 14-16 when determined as being in the cargo suspension work by the cargo suspension-cargo nonsuspension determining means B and allowing a setting change of the work state when determined as being in the cargo nonsuspension work. According to such a constitution, the possibility of the setting-change operation of the work state can be further precisely determined in response to the actual work state.
