PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vegetable-containing fermented food and drink from which vegetable smell is removed and superior in palatability, in order to have vegetables necessary for maintaining human health ingested easily, and to provide a method for producing the food and the drink. SOLUTION: The vegetable-containing fermented food and drink is obtained by lactic-fermenting a fermentation raw material which contains dairy products and vegetable products with animal lactic acid bacteria and vegetable lactic acid bacteria. The vegetable-containing fermented food and drink can be free from vegetable smell, and have improved flavor and high palatability, by using animal lactic acid bacteria and vegetable lactic acid bacteria together and fermenting vegetable products with lactic acid bacteria.
