PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quenching tool for a rack bar with which respective members necessary for quenching are integrated and unitized, and thus quenching of various rack bars can be accommodated easily, a setup time for quenching work can be shortened, and quenching accuracy can be uniformed irrespective of the kind of a rack bar. SOLUTION: The quenching tool for the rack bar is equipped with: a pair of current-carrying electrode members arranged opposedly at a predetermined interval along the longitudinal direction of the rack bar and capable of making contact with a tooth surface or a back surface of the rack bar; a pair of conductive members supporting a lower part of the pair of the current-carrying electrode members and each provided with a terminal part; a support member for supporting substantially both ends of the rack bar; and a cooling water jetting member arranged between a pair of contact electrodes. Each of these members is formed in a substantially rectangle plate-like shape in a plane view, and integrally arranged and unitized on a detachable base in a positioning state on a tool setting base of a high-frequency quenching device.
