The invention relates to a firebox of a fireplace including a grate (1) forming a base, an opening and closing door, a back wall (2), side walls (3) and a crown (4) as well as a flow outlet (5) at the top part of the firebox for leading flue gases out of the firebox. According to the invention, a turbulence element (6) is provided in connection with the flow outlet (5) for rendering substantially laminar flue gas flows flowing toward the flow outlet turbulent before the flow outlet. |
