There is provided a household electrical appliance e asily to know whether electricity rates are high or low at the time of using the household electrical appliance, eve n in the variable rate system in which the electricity rat es change. The household electrical appliance includes, a receiving unit 11 that receives information of electricit y rates which are changed based on power generation capaci ty and power consumption amount and charged for power cons umption as instantaneous electricity rate information; an electricity rate information accumulating unit 12 that acc umulates the received instantaneous electricity rate infor mation; a determination unit 14 that outputs a result obta ined by statistically calculating a plurality of the accum ulated instantaneous electricity rate information items as reference electricity rate information, and compares the latest received instantaneous electricity rate information with the output reference electricity rate information; a nd a numerical value display unit 13 that notifies whether the latest instantaneous electricity rate information is higher than the reference electricity rate information, in accordance with the comparison result of the determinatio n unit 14. |
