The present invention relates to a method for controlling a routing path of a mobile terminal in a communications network and, more specifically, to a method for controlling a routing path, which provides programmed routing path information due to a hand-off to a base station or a router through a mobility management unit. The base station or router sets up a routing path of a handed-off mobile terminal packet according to the programmed routing path information and reduces the load of a communications network caused by the hand-off. An operator of the communications network can easily modify a routing path of the communications network.
