An Indian method of preparation of herbal extraction of liquid from herbs for treating lung infection and the purification of blood. A pit is filled with two earthen pots, with one placed on top of the other. The upper pot is filled with herbs, and has tiny holes at the bottom. The upper pot has a lid, which is covered by dried cow dung and set on fire. The herbal extract is then collected in a mud bowl placed in the bottom pot. The herbal liquid extracts can be used separately by mixing with vegetable glycerine. Ten herbs can be used; Ocimum sanctum, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Phyllanthus niruri, Momordica charantia, Syzygium jambos, Azadirachta indica, Justicia adhatoda, Jatropha curcas, Tylophora indica, and Berberis vulgaris. An Indian method of liquid extraction called pudam' is used. These liquids can be inhaled by heating the liquid into vapour form or the liquid can be filled inside e-cigarettes. |
