PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial equipment component which is lightweight and has a high mechanical strength, a high toughness and a high corrosion resistance, and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A link 1A (industrial equipment component) consist of: a core material 11 formed of a 6000 system alloy prescribed in JIS H4140; a surface layer material 12 covering a part or the whole of the core material 11 and formed of a 7000 system alloy prescribed in JIS H4140. The manufacturing method of link 1A (automobile component) performs at least steps of melting S1, casting S2, working S3, homogenizing heat treatment S4, and forging S5.
