PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple device for sensing operation of an opening and closing blade allowing a user to acquire an opened or closed state of the stirring blade securely without using an electrically sensing means such as a sensor or the like. SOLUTION: This device 7 for sensing operation of the opening and closing blade is used in a stirring device having the stirring blade 43 of opening and closing type, a discharge port 47, and a flow passage communicating with the discharge port. This device for sensing also has a valve element (a shielding plate) 71 for opening and closing the discharge port or the flow passage. The valve element is provided to operate in the interlocking relationship with the opening operation of the stirring blade 43 and is closed when the stirring blade is at a blade closing position and is opened when the stirring blade is at a blade opening position. When sensing the opened or closed state of the stirring blade 43 by using this device for sensing it, the stirring blade is displaced from the blade closing position to the blade opening position to open the valve element 71 operating in the interlocking relationship with operation of the stirring blade and discharge a fluid through the discharge port 47. Then, the fluid is discharged from the discharge port 47 through the flow passage.
