摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement in durable reliability of a pump motor by suppressing operation of the pump motor to a required minimum in a braking scene where regenerative braking force is insufficient. SOLUTION: The brake control device of an electric vehicle includes a brake fluid pressure generating device 1, a VDC brake fluid pressure unit 2, a motor controller 8, and an integrated controller 9. The brake fluid pressure generating device 1 generates basic fluid pressure according to a braking operation. The VDC brake fluid pressure unit 2 includes the pump motor 21 and a fluid pressure pump 22, and controls to increase, maintain, and decrease the basic fluid pressure. The motor controller 8 controls regenerative braking force generated by an electric motor 5 for running. The integrated controller 9 performs control so that during the braking operation, deceleration requested by a driver is achieved by the total of braking force by the basic fluid pressure and the regenerative braking force, and insufficient regenerative braking force is compensated by pressurization of the basic fluid pressure. The integrated controller 9 also controls the pump motor 21 to be turned on and off according to whether the regenerative braking force is in the increasing direction or in the decreasing direction during the compensation control by pressurization of the basic fluid pressure.
