A valve assembly 1 for controlling the release or delivery of a fire suppression medium from a vessel comprises an inlet 11 connectable to a pressurised vessel, an outlet 12 connectable to a delivery means, and a valve 2 to selectively open or close fluid communication between the inlet 11 and the outlet 12. Opening means for moving the valve from a closed to an open condition, first 3 and second actuators 4 and an environmental triggering means 5 are provided. The opening means is remotely operable by the first actuator 3 or manually by the second actuator 4 or automatically by the environmental triggering means 5. |
