The double-walled turbocharger housing connection has an inner sheet metal shell (3) and an outer sheet metal shell (2) on a bearing flange with a collar over a common welded seam. The outer sheet metal shell is spaced from the inner metal shell over an air gap (5). The bearing flange is provided with the collar on an outer side averted from hot exhaust gas. The air gap is provided between the inner sheet metal shell and the outer sheet metal shell till the outer end of the inner sheet metal shell. The inner sheet metal shell has a collar (12) on its outer end (9), with which the inner sheet metal shell encompasses the outer sheet metal shell, where both the sheet metal shells are connected with the collar of the bearing flange over the common welded seam. |
