PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus capable of reducing use of a contrast agent and reducing the time for examination when a three-dimensional road map is used. SOLUTION: The image obtained by an X-ray tube 11 and a detector 14 mounted in a C-arm 15 is stored as a rotating image in a two-dimensional image memory 25. A three-dimensional blood vessel image is reconstructed from the rotating image by a three-dimensional reconstruction part 32. The center of a region of interest is identified by a region-of-interest identifying part 33, and an image display region is identified by a display region identifying part 34 so that a projection position approximately at the center is always approximately at the center of the image without moving the center position of the C-arm 15 when the rotating image is acquired. In other regions than the image display region, the X-ray beam generated from the X-ray tube 11 is shielded by a collimator 12. Then, the three-dimensional blood vessel image information is superimposed on a newly captured X-ray image by an image composing part 36, and the composite image is displayed on a monitor 37.
