PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar type secondary battery that prevents internal short circuit between collectors each other by external force. SOLUTION: In the bipolar type secondary battery 10, a plurality of bipolar type electrodes 14 each of which has a positive electrode active material layer 12 formed on one side of a collector 11 and a negative electrode active material layer 13 formed on the other side are laminated in series with separators 20 containing electrolytes sandwiched between them. The bipolar type secondary battery 10 also has a sealing part 30 brought into contact with the outer peripheral fringe of the collector.
