The present invention relates to an electric power steering system and a steering angle output method thereof. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a system and a method of providing high reliability of an absolute angle in the electric power steering system which calculates a final absolute steering angle by using an element measuring an absolute steering angle and a relative steering angle.
