The kit includes a programmer device (28, Figure 2) having electrical contacts for connection with electrical lines 15 to a heating system to be controlled. The device is configured for generating control signals for the heating system and outputting the signals via the electrical contacts. A thermostat replacement device (30, Figure 3) includes a support body 35, mechanical connection means 36, 37 arranged at the support body for mounting in a region of thermostat wires 16, 17 (serving for a connection of the thermostat with the heating system). Two cable securing devices 31, 32 are electrically connected to each other for holding the two thermostat wires and for providing an electrical connection between these. An environment measuring device 50 may be attached to the device for detecting e.g. room temperature, brightness, air humidity, sound or movement. The measured property may be sent by wireless transmission. The kit may be part of a heating system having a boiler, a control means and a junction box. A retrofitting method uses the heating system and kit to connect the two thermostat wires together, thereby providing a constant electrical connection between the wires. |
