Provided is an underframe such that, in a case where a body bolster and a center sill are fastened by a mechanical fastening means and the mechanical fastening means is included in an air spring bearing of the body bolster, interference between a head portion of a mechanical fastening portion and an air spring abutting on the air spring bearing can be avoided. A body bolster (15) is provided with a plate member (61) at a portion where a center sill (14) and the body bolster (15) intersect with each other. At a bolt fastening portion (57, 58) for fastening the center sill (14) and a plate-like member (51) which is a major portion of the body bolster (15), the plate-like member (51) is provided with a counterbore not smaller than the outer diameter of a tool for fastening a bolt (90) and with a depth not less than the height of the head of the bolt (90) so that the head of the bolt (90) can be prevented from interfering with an air spring (5). |
